Walk to the Barges Lighthouse and along the Côte Sauvage. Located 2 km from La Chaume, the Barges Lighthouse was inaugurated in 1861. Formerly manned by two keepers, it was the first French lighthouse to be automated in 1971. Its powerful red light, located more than 20 meters high, alerts ships to the rocky plateau of Les Barges, which poses a great danger to coastal navigation. The lighthouse has been listed as a historic monument since 2011.
