Embark on an extraordinary day in the heart of the wild Poitevin marsh and let yourself be charmed by the authentic beauty of this region.
Morning: Immerse yourself in nature and meet local producers
10:15 am: Meet in front of the Marais Poitevin Ornithological Park at Nathalie's place,
10:30 am: Hop on a traditional boat for a peaceful, guided ride on the waterways of the wild marsh.
12:15 pm: Lunch in the park, savoring fresh and tasty local products. The typical Marais Poitevin picnic is prepared by Stéphane, the Damvix caterer (aperitif and wine are extra. Take a good look when choosing the number of participants at the bottom when booking).

Starter: stuffed maraichin
Main course: Vendée cured ham with a mogette bean salad
Cheese: Tender cow's cheese from the last dairy cooperative in the Marais Poitevin
Dessert: homemade brioche with coffee/tea
includes water and a "tradition du marais" baguette

Afternoon: discover the Du Coq à l'Âne donkey farm/soap factory and meet the animals
1:45 pm: Guided bike ride to the land of donkeys, to meet Quentin, son of the owners of the Du Coq à l'Âne donkey farm/soap factory.
3:15 pm: Special encounter with the Baudets du Poitou, an emblematic donkey breed of the region, in the heart of their plot.
4:15 pm: Visit the soap factory with Christelle, the manager and soap maker, and discover her handmade creations based on natural products.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
