Description

Immerse yourself in the history of Nantes Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece built over four centuries, and discover its iconic surroundings: the Porte Saint-Pierre and the Psallette.
Beautiful and luminous, the Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul Cathedral in Nantes soars towards the sky, showcasing the full richness of its flamboyant Gothic style. Today, its architecture appears so unified that it looks as if it were built in a single phase, using white Loire Valley limestone. However, its construction spanned from 1434 to 1891—four centuries! Among other things, visitors can admire one of the jewels of Renaissance sculpture: the tomb of the parents of Anne, Duchess of Brittany and Queen of France.
St Peter and St Paul's Cathedral has been listed as a historic monument since 1862. After the fire on July 18, 2020, and five years of restoration, it has been reopened to the public since September 2025.
Our tour will also include the area immediately surrounding the building, specifically the Porte Saint-Pierre and the Psallette, to offer a more immersive and dynamic experience, featuring outdoor spaces and buildings that complement the cathedral complex.
