Explore Lyon through the eyes of cinema! An original guided tour, enriched with film clips and surprising anecdotes, to rediscover the city in a new light, through culture, history, and emotion.
The tour begins between the Opera House and City Hall, in the heart of the Terreaux district. The route descends towards the Saône River, passing through iconic places of power, culture, and early cinema. A stop on the quays allows you to observe the city, its hills and Fourvière through the prism of its spiritual and filmed heritage. Along the route, visitors discover how great figures of cinema, from Catherine Deneuve to Juliette Binoche and Yves Montand, have left their mark on scenes shot here, revealing fragments of Lyon's history. The tour continues through the narrow streets of Vieux Lyon, once a dark neighborhood that has become an iconic setting for many stories. Each stop is accompanied by excerpts projected or viewed on a tablet. A picture gradually emerges, between the places visited and the filmed memories. The tour ends in a restaurant in the neighborhood, a few steps from the Vieux Lyon metro station. A cold drink is offered, followed by a final quiz celebrating the diversity of Lyon in cinema, from the Cité Internationale to the Bourse, and from Fourvière to the Tête d'Or.
