Go behind the scenes at La Corvette - Savonnerie du Midi: discover our production workshops, our expertise and the history of Marseille Soap through our museum.
Step through the doors of La Corvette and discover the secrets of making authentic Marseille soap, an iconic Marseille craft. In the heart of the Aygalades district, the Savonnerie du Midi opens the doors of its factory and museum.

Your guide will take you through the workshops to discover, step by step, how the true Marseille Soap is made. In particular, you will enter the spectacular cauldron room, the true heart of the factory, where the expertise of the master soapmakers is carried on.

Then, head to the Marseille Soap Museum to go back in time and discover the history of this Marseille heritage through nearly 250 historical objects.

Two tours are generally offered Monday to Friday, at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, at a cost of €3 per person.

The site is accessible by public transport on bus 30, at the Cité des Arts de la Rue stop.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
