Description
At the top of La Clape, Château Camplazens stands out on a wild terroir.
During the Julius tour, come and take a tour of the vineyards, cellars, and barrel cellar, and finish with a tasting.
At the top of La Clape, high up between Narbonne and the Mediterranean Sea, Château Camplazens stands out on a wild and unspoiled terroir.
Here, the vines grow between rock and scrubland, lulled by the sun and sculpted by the sea winds.
It's more than just a vineyard; it's a unique ecosystem where nature reigns supreme.
For the Julius tour, we'll meet you directly at our cellar, where your guide will welcome you.
We'll start by giving you some info you need to understand the history of the estate and explain our La Clape appellation.
We'll then take you to one of our vineyard plots, the oldest on the estate, to show you the different soils on the estate and how they affect our vines.
Then, we'll head to the cellar to show you where we make our wine. Here, we'll show you the different vats on the estate, namely stainless steel and concrete vats. We'll explain how to use some of our wine-making equipment.
We'll then take you to our barrel cellar, where we'll explain our aging process for some of our vintages, including the different steps involved.
Before we move on to the tasting, we'll head to the estate's tower. This tower offers a panoramic view of the entire estate and its surroundings. The tasting will also take place in the tower, where we'll let you try several of our vintages (we also adapt to our customers' requests according to their tastes)
In total, the Julius tour lasts about 1.5 hours.
