Day 1 – Kakheti: Wine, Culture & Sighnaghi

Begin with morning pickup in Tbilisi and travel east toward Kakheti, Georgia’s renowned wine region. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you pass through traditional villages and vineyards.

Visit a local winery and discover Georgia’s unique winemaking traditions. Enjoy a wine tasting and learn about the region’s centuries-old connection with wine. Continue with opportunities to taste selected local products and discover Georgian culinary traditions.

Travel onward to Sighnaghi, a charming hilltop town overlooking the Alazani Valley. Walk through its historic streets, admire traditional architecture, and enjoy panoramic views across the surrounding countryside. Take time for photographs and explore the town at a relaxed pace.

Continue to Bodbe Monastery, an important cultural and religious landmark surrounded by peaceful gardens and scenic landscapes. Explore the monastery grounds before beginning the return journey to Tbilisi.

Return to Tbilisi at the end of Day 1 and prepare for the following day’s mountain adventure.

Day 2 – Kazbegi: Georgian Military Highway & Caucasus Mountains

Begin the second day with pickup in Tbilisi and travel north along the historic Georgian Military Highway toward the Greater Caucasus.

Make your first scenic stop at Zhinvali Reservoir, known for its striking turquoise waters surrounded by mountains. Continue to Ananuri Fortress, a historic medieval complex overlooking the reservoir. Explore its churches, towers, and fortified walls while learning about the history of the area.

Continue toward Gudauri through spectacular mountain scenery. Stop at the Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument, dramatically positioned above the Aragvi Valley, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Caucasus Mountains.

Continue to Stepantsminda, the mountain town beneath Mount Kazbek. From here, travel to the iconic Gergeti Trinity Church, dramatically situated high above the valley. Explore the area, take photographs, and enjoy the spectacular mountain views surrounding this historic landmark.

After visiting Gergeti, begin the scenic return journey toward Tbilisi, with time for a traditional Georgian food stop if included in the selected itinerary.

Return to Tbilisi at the end of Day 2.
