Kakheti is the main Georgian wine center, with a large selection of wineries. The proposed day trip from Tbilisi will include a visit to the winery and the historical site of the Bodbe Monastery. This monastery currently functions as a nunnery and is one of the main places of pilgrimage in Georgia due to its association with St. Nino, a 4th century female evangelist. Her relics are kept in this monastery, you can also visit the picturesque city of Sighnaghi, known as the "City of Love" due to round-clock wedding services, you can enjoy views of the great Caucasus. You can also walk along the great wall in Sighnaghi which is about 5 kilometers long, from where we will enjoy a breathtaking view of Alazani valley. Wine, chacha and cognac tastings will be held in two cellars and you will also get acquainted with the culture of wine making. We will stop by for delicious Georgian bread where you can participate in a master class and you will be treated with our local sweets. The next important part of the tour is the city of Telavi - one of the oldest and largest cities in Kakheti, located on a hill above the Alazani valley, between the Alazani and Lori rivers. Just wandering around, you can meet the foggy roads of the underground city, visit the castle of the king, who, as a child, aspired to the independence of his country and furthermore make a wish next to the 900-year-old flowering plane tree.
