Description
Explore the Bavarian Forest from above on an accessible treetop walkway, leading to a 44-meter-high panoramic observation tower.
Discover the beauty of Germany’s oldest national park from an entirely new perspective on the Treetop Walk Bavarian Forest. Located in the Lusen National Park Centre, this immersive nature experience takes you high above the ground, offering stunning views and a deeper connection with the forest ecosystem.
Begin your adventure on the barrier-free wooden walkway, stretching through the lush mixed mountain forest. Along the way, learn about the park’s biodiversity through engaging exhibits and enjoy breathtaking sights of ancient firs and beeches.
The highlight of your journey is the Baumei (Egg Tower), an architectural masterpiece standing 44 meters tall. The spiraling pathway inside the tower gently ascends, making it accessible to wheelchair users and families with prams. As you make your way up, observe the protected trees within the tower’s structure, growing in harmony with their surroundings.
At the top, prepare for an unparalleled panoramic view. On clear days, you can see the Rachel and Lusen mountains, the endless green expanse of the Bavarian and Bohemian Forests, and even as far as the northern Alps.
