In the south-west of Berlin, culture, history and the Havel landscape come together in a unique area. On your boat trip through the chain of lakes between Berlin and Potsdam you will encounter magnificent evidence of Prussian history. You drive past natural banks and listed buildings through the former border area between the GDR and the West and experience the Havel landscape, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, with magnificent parks, churches and castles. You pass the legendary Schildhorn, Berlin's largest landscape protection area - the Grunewald - as well as the Grunewald Tower, Villa Lemm and the Schwanenwerder peninsula. From the Imcheninsel, one of the smallest nature reserves in Germany, and the Kladow harbor, your journey continues across the Great Wannsee, past the Wannsee lido, Villa Lemm, the House of the Wannsee Conference and Villa Liebermann. Your ship passes beautiful villas and gardens on the way from the Great to the Little Wannsee, past the Pöhlesee, Stölpchensee, Prinz-Friedrich-Leopold-Kanal to Griebnitzsee, where you reach the Potsdam Havel. From the magnificent Babelsberg Palace and Park and Glienicke Palace, located directly on the water, you drive under the Glienicke Bridge, the infamous “Agents Bridge”, and reach Lake Jungfernsee. From there, the boat tour takes you upstream past the Church of the Savior in the former border area between East and West and the fairytale Peacock Island with its pleasure palace and its historic buildings back to the Lindenufer.
