On the 250th anniversary of the birth of the most important painter of German Romanticism, the world's first musical about Caspar David Friedrich delighted both the press and the audience. His work, which is closely tied to the Saxon region, is brought to life through the powerful songs of Saxony's most successful pop-rock band, SILBERMOND. Spanning the past and the present, the story unfolds of an artist whose era did not understand him – and of a young person from today who recognizes himself in Friedrich's most famous painting.
