Instead of a family Christmas circus with a guaranteed nervous breakdown, housewife Doris is going for "Friendsmas" with her girlfriends this year and is looking forward to chatting by the fireplace, good food, and lots of red wine in the mountains. The husbands are also allowed to join and should make themselves useful by chopping down a Christmas tree in the forest. But suddenly a snowstorm approaches and then the red wine runs out! Is the annual nervous breakdown unavoidable after all?
