Join our 2-hour walking tour of Stralsund's Old Town to discover its history, cultural heritage and legends. We'll begin our adventure in Alter Markt Square, the beating heart of the city, which was one of the major trading points for medieval merchants from the Hanseatic League. Our Expert Guide will entertain us with amazing stories from these times, allowing us to witness the historical significance of Stralsund.
We'll admire the Gothic city hall, the Kniepertor - one of the former 10 city gates, the hidden St. John's Monastery, and St. Nicholas’ Church. The guide will lead us through the charming streets of the Old Town to St Jacob’s Church and St. Catherine's Monastery, which now houses the Stralsund Museum. The highlight of this experience will be a visit to the imposing 14th-century St. Mary’s Church, which was once the world’s tallest church! Admission to St. Mary’s Church is only for free parts of the church, entrance fee to the tower is not included. Entry during masses and special events is restricted and the opening hours may vary.
We're not afraid of the sun and rain, so the tour will take place as planned, regardless of weather, so please check the forecast and dress appropriately.
It is a walking tour, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
