Description

Explore the Nuremberg Nazi Party Rally Grounds on a guided walking tour. Learn about the history of the Nazi Party and its propaganda, and see some of the largest Third Reich architecture left.
Meet your guide in front of the Nuremberg train station (Hauptbahnhof) and travel by tram to the southeast edge of the city where the rallies were held. Explore the remains of the Nuremberg Nazi Party Rally Grounds, site of the largest Nazi gatherings in history.

Although not intact, the former Nuremberg rally grounds contain some of the largest Third Reich architecture left in the world. The coliseums and stadiums, grandstands and parade grounds were all meant to celebrate and glorify Adolf Hitler and his hateful ideology. The speeches and marches held here would become some of the most infamous Nazi propaganda ever made.

Physical traces of this time still remain if one knows where to look. Your guide will give you the historical context to the events as well as show historical photos of the area and explain how the city confronts this difficult time period now.

The tour ends at the Third Reich Documentation Center, a museum dedicated to presenting the history of Nuremberg's role in the Third Reich. Please note that the museum is an option after the tour for those wanting to learn more and is not included in the tour itself.
