Description

Walk from Alexanderplatz and through the Gothic remains of the city. See Humboldt University and Gendarmenmarkt. Listen to stories about the Brandenburg Gate and hear about the end of the Berlin Wall.
On this Berlin tour, you will journey in a bit different way than most other tours. Starting at the Alexanderplatz at one side of the historical center of Berlin, you will see the TV Tower and the original, medieval remnants of the small town that Berlin was for most of its history.
You will then pass by the controversial, reconstructed former Royal Palace of the Hohenzollern and enjoy the ambiance of Museum Island with a great view of Berlin Cathedral.
After passing by the Humboldt University you will walk through the maze of the central streets to marvel at the prettiest of the German capital's squares, the Gendarmenmarkt. Then you will learn the history of the infamous Berlin Wall at the Checkpoint Charlie.
Passing by the place where Hitler's Bunker formerly stood you will learn about the country's dark past. The final, symbolic stop is the Brandenburg Gate, a symbol of unity of Germany and Europe, with its open, classical archways.
