Duration:

Description
Follow in Paul Klee's footsteps on a guided walk through the Georgengarten. The artist particularly enjoyed walking here and was inspired to create numerous paintings.
Bauhaus master Paul Klee went for a walk almost every day. He particularly enjoyed the Georgengarten. For him, walking meant observing the air, the weather, the play of colors in the parks, trees, meadows, lakes, and buildings, and enjoying their atmosphere, which he then captured in his paintings.
The English-style landscape park is very close to the Bauhaus building and the Masters' Houses and was therefore easily accessible for Klee. Here he not only gathered inspiration for his paintings, but also collected plants, which he studied at home.
The walking tour begins and ends at his home in Dessau, the Kandinsky/Klee Masters' House.
