Day 1: Accra City Tour

Begin your adventure with a tour of Accra. Visit the WEB DuBois Memorial Centre, home to the Father of Pan Africanism. Explore his personal belongings, gifts, and books, and see the Mausoleum for him and his wife.

Next, head to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, where Ghana’s first president declared independence. Discover his personal items, gifts, and books, and visit the mausoleum where he and his wife were buried.

Stop at the Arts and Crafts Market to purchase Ghanaian-made souvenirs, including African dresses, shirts, woodworks, carvings, paintings, and traditional fashion accessories.

End your day at Independence Square, also known as Black Star Square. Built for national gatherings in 1961, it can host about 30,000 people and features monuments like the Independence Arc, the Monument of Liberation, and the Independence Gate.

After lunch, engage in social impact activities in Accra or the surrounding community. Participate in talks, donations, and community development initiatives, contributing to sustainable tourism. Choose your impact initiative or have one pre-designed for you.

Day 2: Akosombo

After breakfast, leave Accra for the Volta Region. En route, stop at the Cedi Beads Factory in Akosombo, where traditional beads are made from glass bottles. Learn about the types of glass beads, their significance, and uses.

Visit the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, home to friendly Mona monkeys considered sacred by the local people. The monkeys are always ready to pose for pictures, especially if you bring bananas.

Day 3: Hohoe, Volta Region

After breakfast, hike for about 2 hours to the top of Mountain Afadja, the highest mountain in Ghana. Walk through rocky mountain trails with a guide and enjoy views of the lower towns and villages from above.

Next, visit the Wli Waterfalls, the tallest waterfall in West Africa. Walk and cross nine bridges for about 45 minutes to reach this breathtaking view.

Day 4: Boat Ride on Lake Volta

After breakfast, relax at the hotel and engage in wellness activities, like a spa and massage session, taking a walk, or reading a book.

Then, embark on a boat ride on Lake Volta to relax while reconnecting with nature. See islands on the river and appreciate the beauty of the highlands surrounding the lake.
