This trip will offer the chance for one of the most unforgettable holidays of a lifetime. The festival features celebration of Ghanaian culture in the form of Art &; Fashion, Live painting, Best African Cuisine, Live performances.
Day 1: Arrive in Accra - December 27
Arrival in Accra, you are met and transported in a private A/C vehicle to your hotel. Relax and prepare for a memorable night of delicious meal and music.
Day 2: Accra City Tour - December 28
Explore the bustling city of Accra, having a blend of modern buildings and old structures constructed during the colonial times. This old city has many historical landmarks with vibrant nightlife as we attend the opening ceremony of Afrochella.
Day 3: Accra & Vicinity - December 29
Depart the hotel to complete the tour of Accra visiting the following places:
Visit the W.E.B DuBois museum. Drive through Flagstaff House, official residence of the President of Ghana. Enjoy a true African shopping experience. Return to hotel briefly, and later attend the Afrochella festival.
Day 4: Accra-Assin Manso-Cape Coast - December 30
Depart to Cape Coast in and pass through small villages and arrive at Assin Manso, the burial site of two former slaves from Jamaica and the US whose remains were reinterred here Ghana’s first Emancipation Day Celebration.
See the “Slave River” where our ancestors were washed before confinement in the slave dungeons to await shipment to the Americas. Proceed to Elmina, check into our hotel; then embark on a walking tour of the harbor to see the colorful fishing canoes getting ready to go to sea. This is a picture-perfect opportunity for photographers.
Day 5: Elmina & Cape Coastle -December 31
We will travel the Cape Coast to see the slave dungeon, where you will experience the emotional journey of going in the opposite direction of our ancestors, through the infamous “door of no return”.
Day 6: Cape Coast-Kakum-Accra - January 01
Visit Kakum National Park, which has one of Africa’s rainforest canopy walkways. This canopy walkway will be one of the highlights of your time in Ghana. Depart to Accra,
and explore the West Hills Mall. Transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the New Year at fun and thrilling night programs in Accra City.
Day 7: Accra-Ada Foah - January 02
Visit the Makola Market, the biggest open market in Accra. This market has been divided into various sections to make shopping easy. Depart to Ada Foah, check in on arrival.
Day 8: Ada Foah – January 03
Take walk around the resort, the friendly midget ponies will definitely get you posing for pictures. including bird watching; Flamingoes to Pelicans to all-white and colored peacocks to black swans and several other exquisite bird species.
Day 9: Ada Foah-Dodowa-Accra - January 4
Depart to Accra; enjoy a scenic drive to T.K Beads, experts in making nice traditional beads using ancient methods.
Day 10: Accra-Depart - January 05
The day is is free for leisure and also to do last minute shopping onward flight departure.
