Green Escape Adventure

Day 1

Cedi Bead Factory
Guests would get to learn the history behind the use of Ghanaian beads, how to make them and also check out already made beads displayed for purchase at the Cedi Beads Factory. These beads are handmade from recycled glasses, crushed and melted in ovens, polished and uniquely designed for occasions like puberty rites, marriages, naming ceremonies for individuals and royals. The beads are currently displayed locally and in some international museums like the Newark Museum, Dabls Mbad African Museum, and Picard Trade Bead Museum in the United States.

Adomi Bridge
The Adomi Bridge is a very beautiful bridge located at Akosombo surrounded by islands. It was opened for use in 1957 by the first president of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. The bridge is built over a manmade lake, the lake Volta, at the south of Akosombo to provide a road passage between the Eastern and Volta regions of Ghana. The guests will have a wholesome scenic view of the surrounding islands and communities while on the bridge.

Day 2- Volta Region

Mount Afadja
Guests would visit the highest mountain in Ghana, Mount Afadja. There would be a hike to the mountaintop for about 40 minutes to 2 hours depending on the individual. There is a breathtaking view of the lowlands,valleys and a sight of Ghana’s neighboring country to its east, the french republic of Togo, from the top of the mountain. The forest of Afadjato also serves as a reserve for reptiles, insects, and various species of plants and wildlife. The Mount Afadja site attracts and welcomes several visitors from around the world to it.

Wli Waterfalls
The Wli Waterfalls, is also locally known as the “Agumatsa” Falls which means ‘Allow me to flow’. It is the highest/longest waterfall in West Africa. At this destination, guests would walk for about 30 minutes over 9 bridges to arrive at and have a moment of relaxation at the waterfall. A walk through the forest would give guests the chance to see various wildlife and plant species.

Tafe Atome Monkey Sanctuary
The Tafe Monkey Sanctuary is a forest and habitat of over 700 sacred Mona Monkeys that live in a protected virgin forest. Guests will get the opportunity to visit the Sanctuary to see and feed the monkeys. These monkeys are buried in the forest when they die since they are considered sacred. They are also very friendly and are always ready to pose in a picture with guests
Drive back to Accra.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
