Description
Enjoy the gentle sailing and the homemade Creole meal included for an authentic experience. Want to discover the mangrove and get to know the local fauna and flora? Then book your spot!
In the heart of the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin, you'll board Jeanick's boat for a gentle and quiet sail through the Guadeloupean mangrove. The boat glides quietly on the water and circulates between the mangroves, offering total immersion in this fragile and preserved ecosystem.
Throughout the journey, Jeanick shares his knowledge about the mangrove: its essential role for biodiversity, coastal protection, and marine life. You'll discover the different types of mangroves, the local fauna and flora, the birds that inhabit the mangrove, as well as the fish and other species that find refuge there. The explanations are accessible, lively, and enriched with local anecdotes.
The navigation is unhurried, with breaks to observe, admire, and fully enjoy the surrounding calm. A friendly moment is offered on board with a planter's punch and a small coffee, to savor the moment in a warm atmosphere.
The tour then continues to the wild beach of Pointe-Sable. Once there, you can relax, with the option to snorkel (equipment is provided on board) to observe the small fish in the clear waters. An aperitif is served, followed by a homemade Creole meal, accompanied by wine, prepared by Jeanick from fresh products, from his garden and the surrounding nature. The meal ends with a dessert, always in a simple, authentic, and environmentally friendly spirit.
The return is a gentle journey through the mangrove, taking time for a final observation of this UNESCO-recognized natural heritage, to conclude an ecological and friendly experience deeply rooted in Guadeloupean culture.
