Starting from Akureyri our first stop is Goðafoss, the famous Waterfall of the Gods. From there, we continue towards the Lake Mývatn area, where you will see the pseudocraters - a unique phenomenon found only in a few places in the world, including North Iceland, Hawaii, and even Mars.
As we make our way towards Lake Mývatn and later travel between Dimmuborgir and Grjótagjá cave.
You will also have the chance to see one of the largest craters in Iceland - Hverfjall.
We then explore the Dimmuborgir lava fields, a fascinating area of rock formations connected with Icelandic legends about trolls. Nearby, we visit the small but beautiful Grjótagjá cave, known for its warm water and striking blue colour.
From there, we continue east towards Dettifoss, one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe, located within Vatnajökull National Park, where you can truly feel the raw force of Icelandic nature.
On the way back, we stop at the Hverir geothermal area - a dramatic landscape of bubbling mud pools, steaming vents, and colours that make it feel like a piece of Mars on Earth.
