Experience the beauty of Sólheimajökull by kayak. You can take a closer look at the icebergs and surrounding landscape as you paddle on a glacier lagoon on Iceland’s south coast.
Your tour will begin as you meet your expert kayaking guide at the Sólheimajökull parking lot. From here, you will be equipped with a dry suit before being shown the basic techniques to manoeuvre in your kayak.
These sit-on-top kayaks are extremely easy to steer, and no previous kayaking experience is required. Once on the kayak and you push off into the lagoon, you’ll be immediately immersed into a world of iceberg-filled calm waters, with breathtaking views of the Sólheimajökull Glacier, which is only able to be seen while on water.
After a few hours of gliding along the stillness of the lagoon, you will head back to shore having collected some unforgettable memories.

Arrive at Sólheimajökull Base Camp, by the Sólheimajökull parking lot, 20 minutes before the activity starts.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
