Description

Discover the Gudibande Fort, Avala Betta, Rangasthala, and the Adiyogi Statue on a day tour. Enjoy a blend of adventure, scenic beauty, and spirituality.
Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel or guest house. Enjoy a breakfast stop en route before heading to Gudibande Fort. Built in the 17th century by local chieftain Byre Gowda, Gudibande Fort is known for its strategic military importance. The fort has seven levels of fortification and a clever defense design influenced by the famous Chitradurga Fort.

Located about 100 km from Bengaluru, the fort sits on a rocky hill in the semi-arid region of Chikkaballapur district. The climb is steep but rewarding. Discover a rare rainwater harvesting system with interconnected tanks on different levels, narrow stone pathways designed to slow down enemies, and stunning 360° panoramic views from the top.

Next, head to Avala Betta, a hilltop viewpoint near Gudibande, surrounded by rocky terrain and lush seasonal greenery, especially during monsoon. Famous for its dramatic cliff overhang, Avala Betta offers misty valley views during monsoon and is less crowded compared to other viewpoints.

Afterward, take a lunch break at a highway restaurant or dhaba before heading to Rangasthala, a lesser-known spiritual site, believed to be associated with ancient local worship traditions. Nestled amidst rocky landscapes and greenery, Rangasthala offers a peaceful retreat away from city noise. Discover a hidden spiritual gem surrounded by nature, with natural rock formations that add to its mystical feel.

Finally, head to the Adiyogi Statue Chikkaballapur, which represents Shiva as the first yogi, symbolizing the origin of yoga. Established by the Isha Foundation, it promotes inner wellbeing and consciousness. Located at the foothills of Nandi Hills, the site blends open landscapes with a serene spiritual atmosphere.

Admire the towering 112-feet Adiyogi statue symbolizing 112 ways to attain liberation and witness a mesmerizing evening laser/light show narrating yogic science. After a full day of exploration, begin your return journey and get dropped off at your hotel or guest house.
