Patna: Bodhgaya, Rajgir, and Nalanda 2-Day Tour

Day 1: Patna - Nalanda - Rajgir - Bodhgaya

Begin your journey with a morning pickup from your hotel in Patna. Travel to Nalanda, a 2-hour drive away. Upon arrival, explore the Ruins of Nalanda, the Xhungsang Memorial, and the Nalanda Museums.

Stop for lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense) before continuing to Rajgir, a 30-minute drive away. Visit Venu Van, Swarn Bhandar, Vulture Peak, Bimbisar Prison, and the World Peace Pagoda, which you can reach by ropeway.

Afterward, drive to Bodhgaya, a 2-hour drive away. Overnight stay in Bodhgaya.

Day 2: Bodhgaya - Patna

After breakfast, head to the Mahabodhi Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the temple complex and see the Bodhi Tree, where Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment.

Next, visit the Big Buddha Statue, an 80-foot tall statue that stands as a symbol of peace and enlightenment. Continue to the Karma Temple, Japanese Temple, Bhutanese Temple, Thai Temple, Metta Buddha Temple (closed on Wednesdays and Sundays), Karmapa Temple, Sri Lanka Temple, Sujata Stupa, and Temple.

Stop for lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense) before heading back to Patna. Arrive back at your hotel in the evening.
