Kochi: 3-Day Kannur Tour with Weaving and Theyyam Show

Day 1: Kochi to Kannur

Begin your journey at 8:00 AM, traveling from Kochi to Kannur. Enjoy a scenic drive with stops for lunch in an intermittent town. Arrive in Kannur by 3:00 PM and check in at your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Kannur

In the morning, head to a nearby village to experience the art of cloth weaving. Watch skilled weavers at work, interact with them, and try your hand at the loom and spinning wheel. Learn about the cooperative society that runs the weaving industry, creating employment and sharing profits among the weavers.

At noon, enjoy a memorable lunch with a local family, savoring Kannur’s unique cooking style using fresh spices and vegetables. Though intrinsically vegetarian, you can request seafood or meat.

In the evening, proceed to the next village to witness the Hindu ritual performance called “Theyyam” (available from October to May, with dates announced by local priests). Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Kannur to Kochi

In the morning, start your journey back to Kochi. Stop in Thrissur for a lunch break before continuing your drive, arriving in Kochi by approximately 4:00 PM.
