Description
Hop on an electric-assist bike and ride along the Ancient Appian Way. Pass aqueducts and the grand Aurelian Walls. Descend into the Catacombs and enjoy lunch/ an aperitif in the shade of an aqueduct.
Embark on a guided tour of the Roman countryside on an electric-assist bike. Admire remarkable locations from the 2,300-year-old Ancient Appian Way roads, to the Catacombs of S. Callisto.
After a short urban ride, arrive at the Ancient Appian Way and pass ancient tombs and the ruins of an Imperial Palace. Along the way, your guide will point out interesting historical facts about each monument.
Head underground to the Catacombs of S. Callisto (or S. Sebastiano) and uncover the haunting history within. Roam the ancient corridors and visit the Crypt of the Popes.
Continue along the Appian Way, stopping for a light lunch (morning departure) or tasty aperitif (afternoon departure in English) before following the ancient aqueducts through the Roman countryside. Make your return journey back to central Rome where your tour will end.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Please note that the length of the tour is 27 kilometers (17 miles), 70% of which will be off-road. The level of the tour is intermediate (difficult with a child seat or child extension mounted on the bicycle)
• Please note that this tour involves some riding in the city (to reach the Appian Way Park, to connect with the Aqueducts Park, and to return to the shop)
• Infants aged 1-4 years traveling on a child seat (with a load capacity of up to 55 lbs or 25 kg) come on the tour free of charge
• For children aged 5-8 years old, a child extension (child streamliner) is provided
• Children aged 9 and above can independently ride on an appropriately sized bike (e-bikes also available)
• On Easter Sunday (April 4, 2021), the Catacombs are closed (therefore, the 6 hour tour will not include a visit of the Catacombs). On the other hand, the light lunch/aperitif (according to the option chosen) on this day will include an extra course

Location: Via Labicana 49
Via Labicana 49 From Metro Colosseum (10-15 minutes):
At the main exit turn left, then walk straight, passing by the Colosseum. Continue following the street as it becomes Via Labicana. Continue walking for about 5 minutes. You will find the number 49 on the right side of the street.
From Metro Manzoni (10 minutes):
Walk down Viale Manzoni towards the Colosseum. Continue walking straight down the street, which turns into Via Labicana. You will find number 49 on the left side of the street.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
