Explore the ruins of ancient Pompeii on a daily group excursion from Rome. Discover many of the well-preserved buildings at the incredible archaeological site that was covered by volcanic ash when Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD.
After being picked up from Rome, drive for approximately 3 hours to the Pompeii archaeological site. A 15-minute stop for a quick break on the road will be granted. Head to Pompeii where a professional guide will take you on a 2-hour group tour exploring one of the world's most engrossing archaeological experiences: a historical city covered by volcanic dust from Mt. Vesuvius in AD 79. Your guide will show you fascinating places such as The Forum, Thermal Baths, and Lupanare.
After the visit, you will be taken to a restaurant to enjoy a pizza lunch accompanied by a drink and time to relax before heading back to Rome. Return to Rome by around 5:30 PM depending on traffic conditions.
Please note: the archaeologic site in Pompeii is closed on the December 25 and on the 1st of January every year

All participants must also bring a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g. passport, driver's license, etc)

Meeting point can be easily reached with the blue metro (line B) from Rome TERMINI and other places in Rome.
The driver will be outside the metro station CASTRO PRETORIO holding a sign with the lead traveller's name on it.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
