Description

Get a true taste of Italy with this delicious food tour. Walk around some of the most charming neighborhoods of Rome, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. Taste many different dishes and flavors from various parts of Italy.
Enjoy a 3-hour exclusive food tour where you will get to know Italy and the Italian culture through the Italian manner of eating. A mix of love, high quality products, and old traditions makes the Italian cuisine one of the best in the world. Learn how it evolved through the ages and maybe one or two Italian secrets when it comes to preparing a delicious meal.

The tour begins with a walk around the picturesque neighborhoods in the old Jewish quarters while your guide tells you a little bit about the area and its history, before you sit down to eat. Then it is time for tasting! You will be able to try some so-called suppli (fried rice balls), fior di zucca, fried artichoke, and fried baccala (cod fish). With this you will enjoy a cold and crisp glass of prosecco.

Any Italian food tour has to include a tasty Italian pizza, and you will be able to try the original, from Naples. Learn the real background history of everyone's favorite food. Thereafter the tour will move on to another famous part of the Italian food culture: pasta! You will be taken on a short walk along the cobble streets and pass the Pantheon on the way to the restaurant. Opening in 1934, the restaurant has been in the same family for three generations. In fact, it was officially declared a historical site by the city of Rome and here you don't just taste one, but three different kinds of pasta dishes. Learn about the different shapes of pasta and which sauces go well with which kind of pasta. Sit back while your guide manages the orders and makes sure you get to have a lovely time while you taste some of the best food and some carefully chosen quality wines.

As a final stop you will be taken for some gelato. Rome is full of gelato places, but they are not all equally good. During this Roman food tour your guide will give you tips on how to pick your gelato bar. Choose your own favorite flavors and see what gelato with no additives tastes like!

You will be offered a true dinner experience and not just small taste samples. After your three-hour Rome food tour you will have had a complete dinner and you will have learned how to continue to enjoy delicious top-notch meals for the rest of your time in Rome and Italy.
