At Togeikissa Tozan, you’ll learn how to prepare matcha using a traditional bamboo whisk (chasen). No experience is needed — English-speaking staff will guide you through each step.

The activity duration is approximately 2 hours.
The meeting point is Togeikissa Tozan, a traditional tea and pottery shop near the Katsurazaka Gate of Kenrokuen Garden.
It is located along the “Tea House Street,” a small lane lined with traditional shops.
Look for a wooden building with signs for “Matcha Experience” and “Pottery Workshop.”
You’ll also see the stone walls of Kanazawa Castle Park just across the street.

NOT INCLUDED
- Admission to Kenrokuen Garden is not included in the experience fee. However, our shop is located on the tea house street just outside Kenrokuen, so you can enjoy the experience without paying the garden’s entrance fee.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
