Country: Japan
Duration:
01:30 hours
Description
Only 90 minutes, you can make a “moss ball bonsai”, a fusion of traditional Japanese crafts!
It comes with an original “Kintsugi plate”.
Tea service and a handmade souvenir will be included.
In this hands-on workshop, you'll craft your very own moss boll bonsai and beautifully arrange it on a one-of-a-kind kintsugi plate, made exclusively for this experience.
The moss we use is of the highest quality, with natural antibacterial and deodorizing properties. Best of all, it requires no watering and stays vibrant for a long time. We also use premium artificial flowers that are both durable and realistic, ensuring a beautiful and lasting finish.
What makes this experience truly special is the handcrafted kintsugi plate.
Each plate is individually made by a skilled artisan using the traditional kintsugi technique, making every piece completely unique. These plates are not only functional and food-safe, but also stunning as decorative items—perfect as a keepsake from your trip to Japan.
Please note: Kintsugi plates are available exclusively for adult participants.
For children, we offer a safe and fun alternative: a handmade washi origami plate, allowing families to enjoy the activity together. This workshop is designed with parents and kids in mind, making it a great choice for families traveling in Japan.
To complete your cultural immersion, we offer free haori (traditional kimono-style jackets) to wear during the session. You'll have the chance to take memorable photos in authentic Japanese attire.
At the end of the workshop, you'll receive a certificate of completion and your handcrafted creation as a special souvenir.
Our workshop is located within walking distance of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Nijo Castle, offering the perfect blend of culture and convenience.
With easy access to iconic areas like Arashiyama, Gion, Kawaramachi, and Karasuma, it's a great addition to your Kyoto adventure.
Take a peaceful break from sightseeing and enjoy a truly hands-on cultural experience.
