Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament(Ozumo Nagoya Basho)

Six major Sumo tournaments are held every year in Japan, and Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament is one of the tournaments.
Nagoya holds the Sumo event in mid-July at Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium(Dolphins Arena), which is near Nagoya Castle.
On this tour, you watch Sumo matches on Box Seat(Masu B seat), from the 9th to 12th seat lines, which is closest to Dohyo(ring) next to Tamari seats, and chair seat is the special seat which limited to 20 seats.
Find your favorite Rikishi(wrestlers) while you watch the tournament and enjoy cheering for them.

Both seat can enjoy sumo, but Box B Seat is more closest to ring, so you can watch more clearly. And Chair A Seat is more comfortable to sit and you can watch an immersive view of the venue.

You will enjoy one of Nagoya speciality food before watching sumo: Teba Mabushi (Chicken Wings Rice Bowl)
First of all, let's eat it as it is!
Spicy peppery chicken wings and white rice go very well together!
Next, put an onsen tamago (hot spring egg) on top.
Adding the egg makes it a gentle taste!
Finally, pour the dashi broth over the chicken and the rice.
This is a must-have food in Nagoya!

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
