Enjoy a rickshaw tour through Nara, the former capital of Japan, now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. With 3 different options, visit Mt. Wakakusa, Tokondo Hall, and Todaiji Temple.
Your guide and rickshaw away just outside the intersection by the Todaiji Temple, home of the world's largest bronze statue of the Buddha Vairocana, known in Japanese as Daibutsu.
Choose one of the following options that suits your interest best.
1) 70minutes: Mt. Wakakusa and the famous deers of Nara.
Leaving the historical temples and shrines behind, enjoy the lush greenery of the Mt Wakakusa which is entirely covered with grass. On clear days you can see the skyline of Nara city.
Feed the deer with deer biscuits provided by our company. Rest assured, the deer at the Mt. Wakakusa are gentle (the ones by the Todaiji Temple however are ferocious).
2) 130minutes: Unkei Buddhist statue tour, a must-see tour for those interested in Japanese Buddhist statues
Explore and learn all about the Buddhist statues created by Japan's most talented Buddhist sculptors. Enjoy the detailed explanations from your guide, who knows everything about Nara,
This tour includes visits to the Kofukuji Temple's National Treasure Hall, Tokondo Hall, Chukondo Hall, and the Todaiji Temple's Nandaimon Gate.
3) 190minutes: World heritage tour, including sake
Visit Nara's proud World Heritage Sites, Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine.
Enjoy the ride through 'Naramachi', where the old townscape remains.
Indulge in trying samples of sake when visiting a traditional sake brewery in Nara, the birthplace of Japanese sake. Purchasing a bottle to take home is possible too.
Generally the tour finishes at the starting point but the finishing location can be customized. Consult directly with your guide.
The Nara Rickshaw Tour is available in three different options: 1 hour and 10 minutes, 2 hours and 10 minutes, and 3 hours and 10 minutes.

• Adult pricing applies to age 6 and over
• A maximum of 2 adults per rickshaw
• Up to 2 children, 5 years and under, can ride with 2 adults (children have to ride on ad adult's lap)
• While rickshaws are able to fit 2 adults, each rickshaw is 21.1 inches (74 centimeters) wide, but sometimes it might be more comfortable to book individual rickshaws for each passenger
• If a child 5 years will be using one of the 2 seats of the rickshaw, it must book as an adult (full fare paying guest)
• Wheelchair- and stroller-friendly
• Not recommended for expecting mothers in their first 16 weeks of pregnancy

Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
