Description

Experience Japanese drum playing, Taiko for everyone. Professional performers will give you an Amazing Taiko performance. Put on traditional Japanese happi at the end and finish the song together.
The meeting point is JR Takatsuki Station, located between Kyoto and Osaka stations. It’s just a 15-minute train ride from either direction, making it convenient for participants coming from both Osaka and Kyoto.

First, you'll receive a brief explanation of Taiko's history and its significance in Japanese culture.

Next, you'll try to write Kanji(Japanese character) of your wishes on a Hachimaki (a traditional Japanese headband).

Then, you'll watch a powerful Taiko demonstration by a professional instructor.

After that, a friendly instructor will teach you the basic movements and techniques of Taiko drumming.

Finally, you'll play a simple piece of music with your fellow participants. The experience concludes with a commemorative photo in traditional Japanese costume, including a happi and hachimaki.

Playing Taiko together will become an unforgettable experience in Japan.

Sorry for that Children under 7 years old are not allowed to participate.
Please be at the meeting place 15 minutes prior to the start time.
Please note that due to the program, if you are late for the start time, you will not be able to participate even if you call us.
It takes about 15 minutes by JR train from Osaka Station to Takatsuki Station, which is the nearest station to the studio. However, if you take a taxi directly from Osaka, it will take more than an hour and the taxi fare will be quite expensive. With traffic jams, it could take even longer, so we do not recommend taking a taxi directly from Osaka to the studio.
JR Takatsuki Station Central Ticket Gate, 2nd floor, Do not go down. The guide will be standing at the meeting point with a banner showing a TAIKO, Japanese drum.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
