A Journey Through Volcanic Beauty
Mt. Fuji is more than just a climb – it's a journey through one of the world's most beautiful volcanic landscapes. This 2-day guided tour takes you along the Prince Route, where you'll experience the awe-inspiring Hoei Crater and stand at the very top of Japan.

Day 1: Tokyo to Mountain Hut
Your adventure begins at 7:30 AM from Shinjuku, one of Tokyo's major transportation hubs. A comfortable charter bus takes you to Fujinomiya 5th Station (2,400m), arriving around 11:00 AM. After preparation, your climb begins around 11:30 AM.
The trail winds through Mt. Fuji's southeastern slopes, leading to the highlight of the day: Hoei Crater. This massive volcanic bowl was formed during Mt. Fuji's last eruption in 1707, and walking along its rim feels like stepping onto another planet. The vast crater, the stillness of the air, and the sweeping views create a truly memorable experience.
Your professional guide sets a comfortable pace throughout. With a maximum of 15 climbers per guide, you'll receive personal attention and safety support along the way. By around 6:00 PM, you'll arrive at Akaiwa Hachigo-kan, a cozy mountain hut at 3,300m elevation.
Settle in and enjoy a hearty dinner – the hut is famous for its delicious curry with unlimited refills. After dinner, rest well in preparation for tomorrow's summit adventure.

Day 2: Sunrise at the Summit
Wake early around 2:00 AM to begin the final ascent. A major advantage of staying at this hut: you can leave unnecessary luggage here during your summit attempt. Climbing light makes a real difference at high altitude, helping you conserve energy for the push to the top.
As you climb through the pre-dawn darkness, watch the sky gradually transform. Around 4:00 AM, you'll reach the summit just as the sun breaks over the horizon – the famous "Goraiko" sunrise that has inspired Japanese artists and poets for centuries.
From the crater rim, your guide leads you onward to Kengamine (3,776m), the absolute highest point in Japan. Standing here, watching the morning light spread across the land below, is a moment of pure achievement.
Return to the hut for a warm breakfast, then begin your descent along a well-maintained trail. The rocky path is easier on the knees than loose gravel routes, making for a comfortable journey back. Arrive at the 5th Station around 11:00 AM.

To complete your Mt. Fuji experience, the bus takes you to a local hot spring facility that welcomes guests with tattoos. Soak in natural mineral waters, enjoy a meal and drinks if you wish (fees separate), and reflect on your accomplishment. Return to Shinjuku around 5:00 PM with memories to last a lifetime.
