Description

Take the shortest route to Mt. Fuji's summit on this 2-day guided climb. Stay near the top and reach Kengamine (3,776m), Japan's highest point. Includes hut stay, meals, and transport from Shinjuku.
The Direct Path to Japan's Summit
For those who want to reach the top of Japan's most famous mountain, this tour offers the most efficient approach. The Fujinomiya Route starts from the highest trailhead and follows the shortest path to the summit, making it an excellent choice for a rewarding and well-paced climb.

Day 1: Shinjuku to Mountain Hut
Your journey begins at 7:30 AM from Shinjuku. A comfortable charter bus takes you to Fujinomiya 5th Station (2,400m), arriving around 11:00 AM. After preparation, your climb starts around 11:30 AM.
The Fujinomiya Route is straightforward and well-maintained, with clearly marked rest points at each station. Your professional guide sets a comfortable pace, with a maximum of 15 climbers per guide ensuring personal attention and safety support. As you ascend, enjoy views of the surrounding landscape – on clear days, Suruga Bay and the Izu Peninsula create a stunning backdrop.
By around 6:00 PM, you'll arrive at Munatsuki Sanso, a welcoming mountain hut at 3,590m – the 9.5th Station. This strategic location means you're already close to the summit, allowing for a comfortable morning ascent. Enjoy a hot dinner, then rest well for tomorrow's adventure.

Day 2: Sunrise at the Summit
Wake around 3:00 AM to begin the final push. Your boxed breakfast will be provided at dinner the evening before – pack it in your bag to enjoy during descent. The summit is just about an hour's climb away. As you ascend through the early morning darkness, watch the sky begin to lighten. Around 4:00 AM, you'll reach the crater rim just as the legendary "Goraiko" sunrise illuminates the horizon in brilliant shades of orange and gold.
From here, your guide leads you to Kengamine (3,776m), the absolute highest point in Japan. It's a moment worth savoring – standing at the true summit of Mt. Fuji as the morning sun warms the land below.
Begin your descent along the same well-maintained trail. Your guide will find a suitable rest point to enjoy your boxed breakfast along the way. The consistent rocky path makes for comfortable walking, and you'll arrive back at the 5th Station around 11:00 AM.

To round off your Mt. Fuji experience, the bus takes you to a local hot spring facility that welcomes guests with tattoos. Relax in natural mineral waters, enjoy a meal and refreshments if you wish (fees separate), and reflect on your achievement. Return to Shinjuku around 5:00 PM.
