Head to Tokyo's Asakusa district and immerse yourself in its unique historic atmosphere. Admire the distinctive architecture on a guided tour while learning about the area's past. Admire sights including the Azumabashi Bridge, Kaminarimon Gate, and Senso-ji Temple, and enjoy a traditional lunch.
Begin at Azumabashi Bridge before making your way to the Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center. From the observation deck and take in views of Kaminarimon Gate, Nakamise Shopping Street, Sensoji Temple, and, on the other side, views of Tokyo Skytree and the Asahi Beer Headquarters.
Visit Kaminarimon (Thunder) Gate, the entrance to a Buddhist temple and Shinto shrine. Then, make your way to Nakamise Shopping Street. Check out some of the displays on the street that recount the history of Asakusa.
