Enjoy sumo, a traditional Japanese sport, deeply rooted in Japanese culture for more than 1,500 years, at the Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. Feel the cheers and power that you cannot experience on TV.

- Please note that specific seat locations or seat numbers cannot be chosen.
- Re-entry is allowed only once.
- You are free to leave at your own time.
- There are no elevators in the Ryogoku Kokugikan. You will be asked to go up steep stairs. Please note that there are no lifts or assistance for moving around.
- Outside food and drinks are prohibited; only items purchased inside the venue are allowed.
- Please be respectful and keep noise to a minimum inside the venue. Set your cell phone to silent mode and avoid talking on the phone while in the audience. Also, please refrain from waiting around the venue for rikishi (sumo wrestlers) to enter or exit, as this may cause inconvenience to local residents.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Children up to 3 years of age may also join, but must sit on the lap of a parent or guardian while watching.
Please note that you will have to wait to be seated if one of the following events is underway at the time: a sumo match, a speech by the Sumo Association (on the last tournament day), the ring procession of the Makuuchi division wrestlers (dohyoiri), the ring entering procession of the Yokozuna, or the ritual stomping ceremony (on the last tournament day). In such a case, please wait until the event is over before proceeding to spectator seating.
If you would like to be seated together as a group, please make a request when booking. Although staff will try to provide customers with their requested seating arrangements, please note that some requests may not be accommodated.

When should I book?

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.


Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
