5-Day Kenya Classic: Mara, Lake Nakuru & Amboseli in Jeep

Day 1: Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve

Get picked up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. Meet your professional guide and receive a brief safari orientation. Depart Nairobi via the Great Rift Valley with scenic viewpoints. Stop at the Rift Valley escarpment for photos.

Proceed to Maasai Mara, arriving in time for lunch at the camp or lodge. After lunch, head out on an afternoon game drive to explore the famous reserve known for Big Five sightings. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at a budget safari camp in Maasai Mara.

Day 2: Full Day Maasai Mara Game Drives

After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos, cheetahs, and other wildlife. Visit the Mara River, famous for wildebeest migration crossings (seasonal). Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the reserve. You can also opt to visit a Maasai village (extra cost). Return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Maasai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Maasai Mara and enjoy a scenic drive through the Rift Valley region. Arrive in the Lake Nakuru area in time for lunch. In the afternoon, go on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Look out for white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, flamingos, and other birdlife, as well as lions and other wildlife. Have dinner and spend the night at a budget hotel or lodge near Lake Nakuru.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Amboseli National Park. Stop for lunch en route (or in Nairobi, depending on timing). Arrive in the afternoon and, if time allows, go on an evening game drive. Look out for large elephant herds, views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting), and open plains and photographic landscapes. Have dinner and spend the night at a budget camp in Amboseli.

Day 5: Amboseli – Nairobi

Go on an early morning game drive with stunning views of Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for breakfast. Depart for Nairobi with a scenic drive. Get dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
