Discover Hell's Gate National Park and Lake Naivasha on a guided tour from Nairobi. Enjoy a bike tour, explore gorges, visit a Maasai community, and relax on a boat ride.
Start your adventure with a 7:00 AM pickup from Nairobi. Arrive at Hell’s Gate National Park around 9:00 AM and embark on a 2-hour guided bike tour. As you ride, watch for herds of Thompson’s gazelle, eland, zebra, and hartebeest. Keep an eye on the sky, as the park is home to over 100 species of birds, including Verreaux’s eagles, augur buzzards, vultures, and swifts.
After the bike tour, continue on foot into the park’s distinctive gorges. Explore narrow passageways and caves carved into sedimentary rock during a 1-hour walk. Following the walk, visit a local Maasai community to learn about traditional life and customs in the Great Rift Valley.
At 1:00 PM, head to Naivasha Fisherman’s Camp for lunch (at your own expense). At 2:00 PM, enjoy a 1-hour boat tour on Lake Naivasha. Spot hippos lounging just below the water’s surface and observe diverse birdlife, including African fish eagles, lesser flamingos, African spoonbills, and little grebes.
