Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang
Upon arrival at Luang Prabang Airport, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, climb Phousi Hill to enjoy panoramic views of the Mekong River and surrounding mountains at sunset. In the evening, dine at a local restaurant and explore the lively night market.
Day 2: Pak Ou Caves & Kuang Si Waterfall
After breakfast, take a scenic private cruise along the Mekong River to the sacred Pak Ou Caves, stopping at Ban Sanghai village to see traditional Lao whisky-making. Enjoy lunch near the caves before cruising back, with a stop at Ban Sangkong to learn about handmade paper and local weaving. Continue by car to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfall. On the return journey, visit a Hmong village for local crafts and souvenirs. Free time at the hotel in the evening.
Day 3: Morning Almsgiving & City Tour – Fly to Vientiane
Wake early to witness Luang Prabang’s spiritual almsgiving ritual with saffron-robed monks. Visit the morning market before breakfast at the hotel. Then tour Luang Prabang’s cultural highlights: the Royal Palace Museum, Wat Mai, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Sene, and Wat Visoun. Enjoy a traditional Lao lunch before your transfer to the airport. On arrival in Vientiane, transfer to your hotel, followed by dinner with a cultural show.
Day 4: Vientiane & Buddha Park
After breakfast, drive to the quirky Buddha Park, filled with over 200 religious statues. Visit the Friendship Bridge and a local weaving village for handmade silk shopping. Return to the city for lunch and explore key landmarks including Wat Sisaket, Wat Ho Phra Keo, That Luang Stupa, and the Morning Market. After lunch, visit Wat Simuang and the Patuxay Monument before returning to your hotel for free time.
Day 5: Vientiane – Pakse & Wat Phou
Enjoy a breakfast box before flying to Pakse. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and set out to explore the ancient Khmer ruins of Wat Phou, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Champasak. After lunch, visit Wat Phou Salao for panoramic views over Pakse and stop by the local market. End the day with dinner on a floating restaurant along the Mekong River.
Day 6: Bolaven Plateau – Waterfalls & Plantations
After breakfast, travel to the Bolaven Plateau, known for its cool climate and coffee plantations. Visit Tad Fane Waterfall and a nearby tea and coffee farm. After lunch, enjoy time to relax and swim at the beautiful Tad Yuang Waterfall. Return to Pakse and enjoy your evening at leisure.
Day 7: Departure
Free time until your transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
