Description

Explore Yaxchilan and Bonampak in the Lacandon Jungle, including a boat ride along the Usumacinta River and breakfast, departing from Palenque.
Experience an unforgettable adventure in the Lacandon Jungle, visiting two of the most impressive archaeological sites in Chiapas: Yaxchilan and Bonampak.

Departure is from the lobby of your hotel in Palenque at 5:30 AM, beginning a journey of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to a restaurant where you will enjoy a buffet breakfast.

Afterwards, you will continue on to the border and board a motorboat for a roughly 45-minute cruise along the Usumacinta River to Yaxchilán, an ancient Mayan city surrounded by rainforest. Here, you will have 2 hours to explore the site and admire its structures and stelae.

After the visit, you will return by boat, heading to the restaurant at the border in time for lunch (included / no drinks). Then, the tour will continue to Bonampak, where you will change vehicles to enter the archaeological site and see its famous Mayan murals.

At the end of the tour, you will begin your return journey to Palenque, arriving at approximately 8:00 pm.
