First, on this tour, you will visit the Shrine of Guadalupe which is currently the world's second most visited Catholic Sanctuary, after The Vatican. It is dedicated to the adoration of the Virgin of Guadalupe, and is located at the foot of the Tepeyac hill, where the mantle of Juan Diego is exhibited. On this famous mantle, the sacred image of the Holy Virgin of Guadalupe is embodied.
After visiting the Shrine of Guadalupe, prepare yourself to discover and explore the magnificent and world-known Pyramids of Teotihuacan. The city of Teotihuacan was one of the most powerful religious and cultural centers in Mesoamerica. It is recognized by the vast size of its monuments, and its influence was felt throughout central Mexico all the way to Guatemala.
One of our certified guides will take you throughout Teotihuacan, the place where the Gods were created, as the city was known in ancient times. You will explore the Avenue of the Dead, have the opportunity to climb the Pyramid of the Sun, and take amazing pictures of the Pyramid of the Moon, the Temple of Quetzalcoatl, and La Ciudadela, all constructed geometrically and symbolically. You can also admire plenty of colorful mural art painted on plastered walls. • You must make your way to the meeting point: Monte de Piedad, Centro Histórico, Plaza del Empedradillo.
• Children 4 and under are complimentary.
• The meeting point is next to the cathedral, in front of the building called Monte de Piedad.
• The staff has blue shirts and vests, and a Turibus badge.
• Please show your mobile or printed reservation voucher to the Turibus host.
