This is the pefect experience to enjoy Xochimilco with kids, activities that you will enjoy surrounded by nature and connecting with this ancestral and emblematic place in Mexico City.
We will pick you up at your stay to move to Xochimilco. We will arrive to "Dalia Mercado Cultural" a mexican restaurant with a colective craftstore, we will offer you the breakfast (with vegetarian and vegan options). From there we will take a pedicab to a local pier to aboard a trajinera (tipical boat) yo travel by the canals. We will arrive to Cuemanco area where the ecological conservation area of Xochimilco.
We will arrive at a “floating island” called CHINAMPA to enjoy the connection with the nature and different activities for kids and adults.
The chinampas are islands created for cultivation and they continue to grow fresh vegetables that we can enjoy all year round. We will harvest some products to prepare a delicious salad that will accompany our sopes and quesadillas.
You will have the opportunity to learn how the planting method has been carried out since pre-Hispanic times and that continues to be passed from generation to generation, feed the farm animals, as well as enjoy contact with nature.
For the little ones we will have a painting activity, they will take away a beautiful memory of an animal endemic to this area of canals and that unfortunately is at risk of extinction: The axolotl is an amphibian that has the ability to regenerate parts of its body by 100%. This activity includes painting your own axolotl puzzle.
Later, for lunch time we will prepare corn tortillas, sopes and quesadillas. After the lunch we will return to the meeting point to finish this beautiful experience.

Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
