Duration:

Description
The most complete food tasting to discover the different flavors of the 8 regions of Oaxaca in one place.
In July, the 8 regions come together for the Guelaguetza festivities, where each region showcases the most valuable aspects of its traditions and cultural heritage.
To commemorate the Guelaguetza, we've created a 100% Oaxacan gastronomic experience, where you'll enjoy sopa de guías and 15 traditionally cooked moles, paired with a selection of mezcals and craft beers from Oaxaca.
Your taste buds will be stimulated with the representative dishes of Oaxacan cuisine.
We'll start by trying the so-called "Guías," which is a soup made from the tender stems of the pumpkin plant, accompanied by chochoyotes (dough balls) and an unparalleled seasoning that will lead to our tasting of 15 moles (a small number compared to the impressive diversity of moles we can try in Oaxaca). We'll also savor chepil rice and soak up the historical context that frames the cuisine in Oaxaca.
It'll be like eating in the kitchen of an authentic Oaxacan home.
We offer an incomparable multi-sensory experience with recipes from 7 generations, where you'll enjoy information on gastronomic research through the classification of moles, accompanied by wild agave mezcals, with Oaxacan snacks, guía soup, and traditional desserts. You'll learn all about Oaxaca's most iconic dish from the expert, researcher, and multi-award-winning food writer, Ms. Tania Arenas, "The Queen of Moles."
