Once you arrive, enjoy the sunset while our team sets up the camp. Worry-free camping: Tent, warm sleeping bag and comfy sleeping mat will be provided.

Begin the full circuit hike in Hierve el Agua, go to the most amazing viewpoints, and hike down to the base to see them from below. Hike to see every single angle of the rock formations and stunning view points without missing a thing!

Continue the hike up and finish by the spring-fed pools. Spend some time relaxing in the natural pools where you can dip your feet or even go for a full body dive.

Hierve el Agua is a unique place that was formed thousands of years ago by the runoff of calcium carbonated water that features rugged cliffs and natural springs with endless views of the surrounding mountains. From the springs, the water drips down cliffs that are 50 to 80 meters high.

This place is also an important archeological site where more than 2,500 years ago a complex irrigation system was built by a Zapotec indigenous group. It is formed by sets of terraces and canals that cover a wide extension around the area and it is unique in its type in Mexico.

ABOUT THE HIKE:
Based on previous guests' opinions, if you are definitely not a somewhat active person or are elderly (70+), it might feel like a strenuous hike.
-We will hike down from the top of the rock formations to the bottom and back up (about 200 mt. elev. gain). Expect a 40 min. ascend on rocky stairs. 6 km total approx.

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
