Discover Mongolia’s rich past and dramatic landscapes on this two-day adventure from Ulaanbaatar. Travel to Kharkhorum, once the legendary capital of the Great Mongolian Empire, explore historic landmarks, experience nomadic life, and enjoy a camel ride in the Semi-Gobi Desert.

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar – Kharkhorum

Drive approximately 360–370 km through Mongolia’s open countryside toward Kharkhorum City, a scenic 5–6 hour drive.

Located along the Orkhon River, Kharkhorum played a central role in the 13th-century Mongolian Empire. Visit the iconic Erdene Zuu Monastery, one of Mongolia’s most important religious and cultural sites, followed by a stop at the Kharkhorum Museum to learn about the region’s archaeological discoveries and imperial history.

In the evening, enjoy dinner and spend the night in a traditional Mongolian ger (yurt). Accommodation is shared, with 4–5 beds per ger, offering an authentic nomadic experience.

Day 2: Semi-Gobi Experience – Return to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, head toward the Semi-Gobi Desert, where grasslands meet sandy dunes. Take part in a memorable camel ride, soaking in views of desert landscapes, rolling hills, and distant mountains.

In the afternoon, begin the return journey to Ulaanbaatar, arriving back at your hotel around 4:00–5:00 pm.
