Day 1 – Arrival to the Nomadic Challenge Camp

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Ulaanbaatar to Deren soum (approx. 200 km). Upon arrival, participants are welcomed and introduced to The Nomad Challenge, where teams are formed and activities explained.

Lunch features traditional Mongolian boiled meat, a staple of nomadic cuisine. In the afternoon, the first challenge begins: building a traditional Mongolian ger, guided by local experts.

In the evening, the winning team receives fresh vegetables and prepares Tsuivan, a Mongolian stir-fried noodle dish, for dinner. Overnight at the camp.

Day 2 – Dairy Traditions and Nomadic Arts

After breakfast, the Dairy Master Challenge introduces Mongolia’s famous Tsagaan Idee (white foods). Teams learn to make traditional dairy products such as curds and fermented milk, with winners receiving treats like aaruul.

Lunch includes a hands-on experience preparing Mongolian dried meat soup, reflecting nomadic winter traditions.

In the afternoon, the Nomadic Arts and Talent Challenge invites participants to try Khoomei (throat singing), Biyelgee dance, and Morin Khuur demonstrations. Dinner follows with free time to enjoy the steppe.

Day 3 – Nomadic Daily Life

Breakfast features urum and boortsog. In the morning, participants ride horses across the steppe to water livestock, experiencing a real nomadic routine.

Later, teams compete in the Argal Magic Challenge, collecting dried dung used as traditional eco-fuel.

After lunch and a Buuz-making workshop, the group visits the granite formations of Baga Gazriin Chuluu before returning to the ger camp.

Day 4 – White Stupa Adventure

After breakfast, travel to Tsagaan Suvarga, one of the Gobi’s most spectacular natural formations.

Participants take part in a Content Creator Challenge, capturing the colorful cliffs and dramatic landscapes. Free time follows to explore the area.

Day 5 – Nomadic Skills and Games

After breakfast, return to Deren. Lunch includes a DIY Dumpling Tea experience.

The afternoon features horse riding, another Argal Biofuel Challenge, and the Nomadic Games Challenge with traditional games such as Shagai and Alag Melkhii. Dinner includes a fun Noodle DIY cooking challenge.

Day 6 – Mini Naadam Festival

Today’s highlight is the Mini Naadam Challenge, inspired by Mongolia’s famous Naadam Festival. Participants compete in traditional games celebrating Mongolian heritage.

In the evening, enjoy a bonfire celebration and award ceremony with a festive nomadic feast and prizes such as traditional gifts and special “Ultimate Nomad” titles.

Day 7 – Return to Ulaanbaatar

After breakfast, drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will transfer you to your hotel, marking the end of an unforgettable Nomad Challenge adventure.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
