Genghis Khan Statue/Terelj Park nomadic family visit

This day trip covers the most visited places: the Genghis Khan Statue and Terelj National Park. Unforgettable visit to a local nomadic family, where you will have an authentic Mongolian lunch.
Guided tour to Terelj National Park and the Statue of Chinggis Khan to learn all about the rich history of Mongolia. You’ll be collected from your hotel or other accommodation in Ulaanbaatar for ease.
09:00 am will be the pick-up time
Firstly, we will drive for an hour and a half to reach the Genghis Khan Statue.
We will tour the place for around 2 hours. This is the best place for pictures.
Next, we will continue our trip to Terelj National Park, which is about 45 minutes drive from the statue. This national park has one of the best natural landscapes around Ulaanbaatar. Its uniquely shaped rock formations look amazing, surrounded by green pine forest.
In Terelj National Park, we will visit the following
- Turtle Rock (naturally turtle-shaped giant rock)
- Aryapal Meditation Temple (temple located on the side of a big mountain). You will need to do some hiking to reach the temple. At the top panoramic view of the valley.
Lastly, we will visit a local nomadic family in Terelj. The family will invite you into their ger (yurt). They will serve us authentic Mongolian food for lunch.
You are encouraged to ask about nomadic Mongolian culture from your guide.
The drive back to Ulaanbatar will be around an hour and a half.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
