Experience Central Mongolia on a 3-day, 2-night shared tour with a maximum of 6 travelers. Book a place and join fellow travelers to discover sand dunes, historic monasteries, waterfalls and nomadic life. Sharing travel costs keeps this small-group adventure affordable.
Day 1: Elsen Tasarkhai – Kharkhorin
Depart from Ulaanbaatar and travel to the Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes. Explore the sandy landscape and enjoy a camel ride, followed by lunch. Continue to Kharkhorin, where you will visit the museum and Erdene Zuu Monastery to learn about Mongolia’s history and cultural heritage. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at a ger guesthouse.
Day 2: Orkhon Waterfall – Horseback Riding – Nomadic Family Stay
After breakfast, travel to Ulaan Tsutgalan, also known as Orkhon Waterfall. Take time to enjoy the waterfall and surrounding scenery before lunch. In the afternoon, explore the countryside on horseback. Spend the evening and night with a nomadic herder family, learning about their daily life, traditions and connection to their animals and the land.
Day 3: Return to Ulaanbaatar
Enjoy breakfast with your host family before beginning the return journey to Ulaanbaatar. Stop for lunch along the way.
The tour includes two nights’ accommodation, three meals per day and 1.5 liters of drinking water per person per day. A sleeping bag can be provided upon request.
Travelers share the journey and activities with other participants, with no more than 6 travelers in each group. It is a chance to meet new people while experiencing Mongolian nature and culture together.

This is a 3-day overland tour with long driving distances on some days. Accommodation includes a ger guesthouse and a local nomadic family stay. Meals (3 meals per day) and 1.5 liters of drinking water per person per day are included. Warm clothing and comfortable shoes are recommended. Horse riding and camel riding are included in the itinerary.

To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
