Soak in 10,000-year-old thermal water among pine forests with Tatra Mountain views. Termy Bukovina - 20min from Zakopane - combines highland architecture, named thermal pools, and outdoor bathing.
Ten thousand years ago, water began its slow journey through the rock beneath the Tatra Mountains. It absorbed minerals along the way — calcium, magnesium, sulphur, silicon — and emerged, eventually, at a hillside in Bukowina Tatrzańska surrounded by pine forests. That is the water you soak in at Termy Bukovina.

The complex sits 20 minutes from Zakopane, embedded in the foothills of the Tatra National Park. Its architecture draws from the traditional wooden style of the Podhale region — warm lighting, hand-carved details, the aesthetic of a mountain refuge scaled up into a thermal resort. From the outdoor pools, the Tatra range fills the horizon in every direction.

THE POOLS

Each pool at Termy Bukovina has its own character and name. The Bulgotnik offers hydromassage loungers and body jets. Boniora Basista hides surprises beneath the surface. The Jaskinia nad Porońcem — a cave pool with rock grottos, water cascades in the form of a waterfall, and a rushing stream — is unlike anything in the region. Ceperska Płań is an outdoor swimming pool where you hear relaxing music underwater. Niebiesko Dolina is the warmest outdoor pool, with neck and back massage jets and panoramic views of the Tatra National Park.

Across indoor and outdoor pools, water temperature ranges from 30°C to 38°C. Water slides add a different kind of energy to the day. On-site: sauna zone (additional fee), spa treatments, restaurant, and a swimming accessories shop.
